Field Trip to a Departmental Store - The objective of the Grade 3 Field Trip to a Departmental Store as a part of RaKster's Tamil Language Lesson Plan was to go beyond the classroom and understand practically how a Departmental Store works. Inquiry based conversations with Customers at the store helped them understand different customer buying behaviors, budgeting etc., Conversations with Employees from Sales to Billing helped them understand how efficiently they perform their respective roles which required up-to-date knowledge of the products, rates and offers, ability to guide/assist customers proactively and to bill and check out customers quickly and accurately.Many questions were out of the box, a lot of expressions were fun during this process which reinforces that kindling the curiosity of Children is a key aspect of Learning, where they are able to ask questions, analyze and understand for themselves.
